Aquarius today

There's a sharp edge to today's sky for Aquarius: Mercury square Mars, tight and close, the kind of aspect that can make words come out faster or blunter than planned. A conversation that matters might ask for more patience than usual, especially with Mercury itself retrograde, which already has a habit of doubling back on things half-said. If an old argument resurfaces, it may be less about the current moment and more about something left unresolved weeks ago. But the day doesn't only carry that edge. The Moon in Cancer is trine the Sun, a gentler undercurrent that can make room for feeling before reacting, for noticing what's actually being asked for underneath the words. That combination — quick friction above, a steadier emotional current below — can give this sign a kind of built-in corrective, a way of catching itself mid-sentence. It's less about avoiding the sharper exchanges and more about not needing them to end the day on a bad note. With Venus also retrograde, old affections or old collaborations might resurface, worth looking at with curiosity rather than urgency. Saturn, Uranus and Neptune retrograde in the background keep the season generally introspective, a long stretch of revisiting rather than launching, so there's no pressure to force new ground today specifically. For Aquarius, this is a day that rewards a pause before the reply, a breath before the decision. The waning gibbous Moon is already in its releasing phase, which suits letting a disagreement lose its charge rather than chasing the last word.
