Which signs get on, and why

Sign compatibility is read from three things, and none of them is a score. The first is the angle between the two signs on the wheel: signs four apart share an element and flow, signs three apart make a square and spark, signs opposite each other mirror one another. The second is the element pair — fire, earth, air, water — which is the chemistry. The third is the modality pair — cardinal, fixed, mutable — which is the pace: who starts things, who holds them, who adapts.
